From the first start, back in July, Ozark was received well by both the critics and the public. A Netflix original tells the story of a couple from suburban Chicago who moves to Missouri Ozarks and starts working for a Mexican drug lord. It had lots of action and an exciting storyline that kept you on the edge of your seat. However, it’s been a year and a half since we saw the last episode of season 3, and viewers are getting excited. Here is an article outlining what we know about season 4 so far.

But first, a recap. The third season (among other things) featured Wendy and Ruth trying to strong-arm an elderly couple who owned a falling casino on the river into giving it to them for their money-laundering operations. It’s true as physical casinos seem to be declining as virtual online slots Canada real money websites are on the fast rise. People prefer to play slot games on their computers and phones when they feel like it rather than going all the way to an actual casino. It is much more convenient. In the end, by hacking the system, Wendy and Ruth got the casino.

It Is the Last One

We have confirmation that season 4 is the last one. So expect a two-part season with a total of 14 episodes, not the classic 10-episode rollout. One thing we still don’t know is the release date. But since it is already August, expect it in late 2021. At best.

As you expect, the series still follows the Byrde family. But new interesting plot elements include One or two rivals dying, a new casino, and the development of the Byrde Family Foundation. Besides that, expect season 4 to primarily focus on the Byrds family, creating stronger ties with the Navarro family. But with the cartel’s ranks in turmoil, who knows what else will happen?

Actors and Teasers

Expect all the major characters (still alive) and the actors to return. That means Marty Bryde (Jason Bateman), Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney), Charlotte Byrde (Sofia Hublitz), and Jonah Byrde (Skylar Gaertner). Also, expect Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner) and minor appearances from characters from previous seasons.

The official plot summary for season 4 is: «The new season will mark the final chapter in the Byrde family’s journey from suburban Chicago life to their criminal enterprise in the Ozarks.» So we don’t know much from it except that it will be the last season like we already said.

On the other hand, this with what the leading actor Jason Bateman teased us with: «A supersized season means supersized problems for the Byrdes. We’re excited to end with a bang(s). Are they going to get away with it, or are they going to pay a bill? What does he want to message the audience about in this case? The consequences of what the Byrdes have done – or lack thereof? «

And he finished by talking about the final: «We had some great conversations about that, and he’s got excellent ideas about that. Specifically, what kind of happens at the end of the last episode: I know, and it’s great.»
